Dr. Houri Fatourachi D.D.S.
PEDIATRIC DENTIST
Dr. Fatourachi attended the University of Missouri in Kansas City and received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She completed post-graduate work at the same university and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. After completing her training in advanced Pediatric Dentistry in 2001 at Boston University, Dr. Fatourachi moved to California where she has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry in the North County area for the last 20 years.
She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She promotes early visits and prevention as the foundation for a lifetime of good oral health. Many of us didn’t grow up having positive experiences going to the dentist. Some people even reach their adult life dreading “that” visit. In many cases it all started when they were kids. Not having an empathetic, patient Dentist can really affect their attitude toward their overall oral health later in life. That is why it is so important that Dr. Houri makes a child’s first experience and every visit after at our dental office a positive one.
Dr. Houri is well known in her community for her caring approach and serenity with her patients, helping them to feel at ease and lowering the level of anxiety some patients come in with. Dr. Houri is a mother of two beautiful young daughters and currently resides in Carlsbad. She enjoys spending time with her wonderful family and friends. Dr. Houri frequently speaks to local schools about oral health and supports numerous schools and community activities, and has sponsored our local children’s sports teams.
Dr. Sarah Harding D.M.D
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Sarah grew up in a small town south of Richmond, Virginia, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology from Virginia Tech, along with minors in Biology and German and a pre-dental concentration.
She was awarded the highly competitive Navy Health Professions Scholarship and began her dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, South Carolina. During her third year of dental school, Dr. Sarah was selected to pursue advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and went on to complete her residency at the prestigious Baylor University Medical Center / Texas A&M Health Science Center program in Dallas, Texas. During residency, she trained alongside many of the nation’s leading oral surgeons and contributed to published journal articles and a chapter in a foundational textbook within the specialty.
Following residency, Dr. Sarah served aboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), deploying to the Mediterranean and Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She later served at Sewell’s Point Branch Dental Clinic and Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia before accepting orders to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, where she completed the remainder of her military service caring for Marines and Sailors with 1st Dental Battalion and Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. After 12 years of honorable service, Dr. Sarah concluded her career in the United States Navy and joined the civilian ranks.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sarah enjoys tending to her avocado and coffee farm and spending time with her husband and two young sons. Dr. Sarah especially enjoys helping children feel safe and comfortable during surgical care and is committed to making each visit a positive experience for both patients and parents. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident — and looks forward to treating every child and family with the same warmth and compassion she would offer her own.
Chloe
OFFICE MANAGER / DENTAL ASSISTANT
Mrs. Chloe is our Office Manager and also a Dental Assistant. Mrs. Chloe has been a dental assistant since 2014 and has been with our office since 2016. Mrs. Chloe helps with both front and back-office duties so you’ll see her around the office helping in any way she can! She enjoys working with kids and loves to see all the smiles after they get a prize! In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her dog and reading a good book.
Danielle
REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT
Danielle is our Registered Dental Assistant and also in charge of our insurance and front office. She will help your child through your cleaning making sure it is a pleasant experience from beginning to end. In her free time she enjoys relaxing with her children, watching movies and decorating.
Catherine
REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT
“Mrs. Catherine has been in the dental field for over 20 years. You will be seeing Mrs. Catherine in the back office keeping your children’s smiles bright and clean! She was born and raised in LA but has been an SD country resident for 10 years. She is a mother of two boys, one in college and one at Vista High School! Mrs. Catherine in her spare time loves to spend time with her husband and dogs at home!”
Sofia
DENTAL ASSISTANT
Miss Sofia has been a Dental Assistant since 2022 and is a proud graduate from UEI college. Miss Sofia grew up in Vista and went to Vista High School. You will see Miss Sofia helping out in the back office with treatments and xrays! She loves seeing the children leave with clean and healthy smiles! In her free time Miss Sofia enjoys spending time with her family, going on adventures and scenic hikes!
